One of the things I miss most about little league is watching colorful umpires go all out when making their calls. One of my favorites was a short mustachioed guy who when we called a strike out would scream almost incoherently, “STRAHHHH THRAHHHH THA BATTAHHHH AHHHHH.”

It wasn’t until a couple seasons of hearing him make this call that I figured out he was saying, “Strike three, the batter’s out.” But, that’s understandable, because along with his nonsense yelling, he would also do some fancy footwork that looked like he was moonwalking halfway up the third base line. Seeing this video brought back all these great memories. Not sure if this trumps what I’ve seen in person, but this guy sounds like Adam Sandler doing an impression of an old gold prospector, so that gets a lot of points.
