Today is my birthday, and this is the song I am going to play all day. Officially crossing the threshold from “mid-twenties” to “mid-to-late-twenties” is starting to freak me out just a little bit and this song is my way of reminding myself that I’m still relatively young, and also is the anthem of my denial that I’m aging. Plus, it’s fitting, because I have a sneaking suspicion that parts of my brain will never mature and I’ll be that weird old guy that still thinks it’s hilarious when he hears the word “wiener”.
So here’s to another year! And here’s to holding on to youth for as long as possible! And here’s to really bad 80’s synthpop!
